Job Description

Sr. Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for the support of the Visa TPF/VIP Authorization system and Visa OVN system in a multi-datacenter and multi-processing environment. They are responsible for second level problem determination and recovery of the VIP Applications, Operating System, services and customer related issues. Working with the OVN application and support team on a distributed operating systems for transaction authorization. The TPF/VIP Sr. Site Reliability Engineer is also responsible for coordination of the weekly VIP load schedule, including weekly Implementation meetings and creation of the load schedule for all of Operations and Development. This position will also require occasional participation in attending Network Processing project or sizing/estimate meetings representing VIP second level support, and assisting in hourly forecasting tasks.

Ability to work day or night shifts with a 12 hour shift pattern.

Essential Functions:

• Works closely with service partners such as VIP Operations, Global Network Operations, Production Services and Global Support teams to ensure all VIP related services are operational and not causing member impact.
• Works closely with Account Management, Application Support and the Regions when dealing with Member/Application issues.
• Ongoing/Proactive analysis of TPF/VIP and distributed authorization Systems and applications to detect potential problems. When necessary makes preventive corrections and works with Engineering/Development groups to implement long-term corrective measures.
• Creation and coordination of the weekly TPF/VIP load implementations.
• Project support, estimates and forecasting for projects and requirements for VIP Coverage second level support function.
• Assisting in handling Client support and client configuration problem calls coming into the Coverage ACD phone system.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD).
• 1-3 years experience with supporting TPF Operating Systems or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years experience with supporting Linux, kubernetes, open system servers and distributed systems.
• 1-3 years experience in working with VM/MVS systems, IBM TPF Toolkit, or equivalent experience.
• Any experience with C++, ASP.NET, XML, Python, GO, Unix, Opera, linux servers and SOAP architectures is a plus.
• Strong administration support skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 94,700.00 to 120,700.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
