Mechanical Design Engineer

Works closely with other engineering areas to define | | optimum design specifications. Performs typical calculations, | | analysis, and conducts design reviews with Principal Engineers. | | Performs all bill of material, part definition, and drawing work | | related to a project. Works directly with company or customer's | | personnel to determine the cause of mechanical malfunctions and | | convey appropriate repair procedures. Prepares sales-related | | documents, including cost estimates and project scope of supply, for | | machine design, customization and/or refurbish/rebuild projects. | | Works directly with sales, aftermarket, purchasing, manufacturing, | | and assembly departments to resolve engineering related issues. | | Communicates directly with vendors to obtain information and | | assistance. Provides direct ustomer contact, including limited | | travel on a global basis. Other duties as may be assigned. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: | | | | | | | | - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is preferred. | | - Ability to work and accomplish goals with minimal direction. | | - Customer service mentality with the availability for overnight | | domestic and overseas travel on short notice. | | - Ability to make decisions independently. | | - Training or experience with engineering design software systems. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: | | | | | | | | - Experience working with Solidworks. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: | | | |
