Infrastructure Engineering Senior Advisor

Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Firewall Migration Engineer to fill an open position with a Fortune 500 company based in the greater Connecticut area. In this exciting opportunity, you will play a crucial role in a long-term project involving a major enterprise firewall migration from Checkpoint to new Palo Alto infrastructure. As a key member of the security engineering team, you will follow established corporate processes to analyze, define, and implement efforts required for the successful infrastructure migration.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and execute migration changes from Checkpoint and Cisco ASA to Palo Alto Firewalls
2. Diagnose and resolve application issues post firewall migration
3. Analyze firewall requirements for application migrations to new infrastructure
4. Manage changes through the ServiceNow ITSM application
5. Oversee firewall implementations through AlgoSec and Panorama applications
6. Remove/optimize old firewall policy configurations no longer required for optimization
7. Participate in troubleshooting application issues related to firewalls
8. Ensure overall security perimeter infrastructure can support application migrations

The Ideal Candidate

1. Demonstrated experience with Checkpoint and Palo Alto firewalls
2. Proficient in utilizing Palo Alto Expedition and other tools for policy migration
3. Experience placing firewall security infrastructure in new network environments
4. Familiarity with AlgoSec and Panorama Firewall Management applications
5. Experience with ServiceNow ITSM application
6. Previous involvement in large-scale enterprise projects
7. Knowledge of security protocols and implementations within ICS/IOT environments
