System Engineer
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline (e.g., information systems, systems engineering, computer science, operations research, or information technology) with 5 years of related experience, or 3 years and a master’s degree
Certification - Security+, Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Experience with server setup deployment, patch management methodologies • Experience with technical support with solving issues in a growing environment.
Knowledgeable and experienced using electronic media, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.).
Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated ability to proficiently and effectively distribute and manage high volume workload
Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies
Demonstrated expertise in technical management and leadership roles for Systems Engineering (SE) projects that require cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Knowledge of Analysis of Alternatives, Verification and Validation, Design of Experiments, and data analytics.
5+ years of related systems engineering experience Required Certifications: • Security+ Required Skills: • Linux system administrator • Scripting / Coding experience (Bash, Python, etc) Desired Skills: • Operational support experience • Kubernetes • Ansible • Helm charts • Automation • Virtualization technologies (VMware, virtual networking, vROPS, XenServer/XCP-ng) • Red Hat Enterprise Linux, YUM, Satellite, Capsule technologies • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) • Ceph storage platform • GitLab
