Work schedule Monday to Thursday 3 PM-1:30 AM occasionally overtime including other than Monday to Thursday.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
• Safety minded in all work activities; suggest and recommend safety initiatives; commitment to safe work habits.
• Reading and understanding the specifics of the job order instructions for individual customer orders.
• Selecting the correct materials and quantity of materials for individual customer orders.
• Ensuring that work instructions are followed precisely to successfully complete the door package.
• Analyses data and processes to establish root causes of failure or malfunction of production equipment and communicates these to production support.
• Identifies production implementation problems such as defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in systems functions, outputs, and content and communicates these to production support.
• Understanding daily production goals and work at a pace that meets or exceeds those requirements.
• Inspecting raw materials to ensure no pre-existing damage or scratches due to defective incoming materials prior to machining.
• Fabricating parts to precise dimension by using machine tools.
• Selecting pre-set CNC programs that will accomplish the tasks indicated on the customer orders.
• Properly maintaining the CNC they operate, including daily, weekly, and monthly TPM.
• Modify pre-existing programs as needed to run production.
• Other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor and/or Production Manager.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
This position requires the following knowledge, skills and abilities in order to satisfactorily fulfil the role:
• Ability to read and understand machining & assembly drawings
• Intermediate to advanced computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
• The ability to use basic mathematics including fractions for measuring, cutting and calculating lengths and widths of materials.
• Detailed oriented using fine visual and manual skills.
• The ability to use a variety of hand tools, micrometres, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
• The ability to use punch presses.
• The ability work in a fast-paced environment for an extended period of time.
• The ability to read and understand layouts, shop orders and process control documents.
Education and Experience
•    High school diploma or GED required.
•   At least 5 years’ CNC and tooling experience required.
Physical Demands
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear.  This is a standing position for up to 10 hours per day on a concrete factory floor.  Frequent use of hand and hand tools to assembly parts.  Ability to lift 30 or more pounds both overhead and at waist level.  The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with arms and hands.  Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Exposure to intermediate/loud noise is expected when working in the manufacturing environment. The work environment is climate controlled.
