Qualifications
- Bachelor' degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field required
- Knowledge of inspection, control methods, techniques and documentation
- Knowledge of statistical theory and principles, SPC and tools
- Interpersonal skills suitable for interfacing with various levels of the organization
- Quality Engineer will be responsible for supporting Quality Assurance, including ISO requirements & compliance, and supplier quality programs
- This person will report directly to the Vice President of Strategic Sourcing
- Ensure clarity and consistency of the ISO requirements across all facilities
- Conduct second party audits at all facilities to ensure ISO compliance
- Support and lead Quality Assurance to meet the demands of customer driven quality improvements and the expanding needs of a growing company
- Monitor customer satisfaction and lead the resolution and prevention of customer complaints
- Support and provide leadership for the Supplier Quality program
- Perform Quality systems audits of suppliers as needed
- Ensure effective manufacturing process control programs that maintain focus on prevention of customer quality issues
- Support plant cost reductions and process improvement projects through various Quality tools such as FMEA, process capability, Gage R&R, SPC, pareto analysis and other six sigma/lean tools
- Write protocols and perform validations of new/improved materials and processes
- Continuously improve Quality Assurance capabilities and effectiveness by setting and achieving specified goals/metrics
- Travel up to 25% of the time may be required
- Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role
- Facilitate supplier quality status and reporting
- Initiate corrective actions to create value and mitigate risk in the supply chain
- Drive meaningful improvements for customers (internal and external) via the Business System and its tools
- Show demonstrable leadership of supply chain quality including supply selections, supplier validations, supplier development and supply quality monitoring
- Lead teams to drive improvements to internal and external supplier quality via targeting breakthrough results
