Senior HVAC System Application Engineer - Commercial HVAC Company - Base Salary to 47.00/hour - Dallas, TX

Our client maintains world-class expertise in Building Automation and Control Networks (BACnet) systems. System capabilities include controlling indoor climate, energy savings via enterprise scheduling/optimization, trending, centralized control, customized energy analytics, energy reporting, central plant optimization and remote monitoring/alarming. As a company they provide a number of services to their clients such as preventative maintenance, equipment repair, equipment replacement and installation, pneumatic control systems and VFD sales and installation.

Currently our client is seeking a Senior HVAC System Application Engineer to join their team, as they install DDC control systems in commercial office buildings, schools, hospitals, colleges and government buildings.

Responsibilities:

1. Creating control drawings in VISIO
2. Ensuring proper electrical wiring diagrams
3. System architecture and layout
4. Drafting sequence of operations
5. Communicating with programmer, project manager, and sales engineer to ensure proper scope of work
6. Coordination with internal and external customers
7. Creating bill of materials
8. Wiring termination and panel layout detailing
9. Documentation of as-built manuals
10. 95% of job is performed in an office environment. Minimal field work

Qualifications:

1. 5+ years’ experience as a System Application Engineer in the HVAC industry.
2. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC control systems
3. Experience with MEP plan/spec interpretation and application
4. Ability to survey existing facility systems
5. Responsiveness to customers and coworkers
6. Experience with drawings and/or computer graphics

Compensation:

1. Base salary in the 28.00 - 47.00/hour range
2. Annual discretionary bonus
