Manufacturing Technology Packaging Staff Engineers work in a participative team-based environment, using World Class Operations (WCO) processes and principles, the Staff Engineer participates on teams developing, designing, installing and starting-up new products, product improvements and technology upgrades for larger projects. Plans and leads small to medium sized projects. Provides thorough and practical solutions to complex problems with minimal assistance. Works under general management and completed work is checked for technical soundness and accuracy. Contacts are usually intra-organizational and more frequently with outside suppliers and consultants.

In this role, you will:

1. Capital Project Management, Design, and Construction Management
2. Technical Problem Solving and Engineering Services
3. Project Technical Feasibility Evaluations
4. Engineering Administrative Duties
5. Support process improvement initiatives
6. Participate in technical seminars for departmental or cross functional training in order to stay up to date on current trends, changes, and technological advancements
7. Train and coach on-site operations and maintenance teams
8. Develop personal skills on new engineering techniques, etc.
9. Advocate for engineering innovation within the functional department
10. Deliver project safety performance objectives
11. Support project objectives during planning and execution
12. Support cost savings initiatives and project spending objectives
13. Provide technical expertise and insight to the team on business and engineering needs and proposals
14. Support and drive regulatory compliance within project teams
15. Lead multiple projects in accordance with Clorox Project Management Standards to achieve required results, timing, and budgetary targets
16. May lead multiple projects over $1MM

What we look for:

1. 5+ years of engineering experience
2. Degree in BSME, BSEE or BSChE
3. PE Certification
4. CI Tools
5. Able to influence and accomplish work through others
6. Exceptional written & verbal communication skills
7. Ability to coach and develop self and others while completing work assignments
8. Experience with team interaction techniques

Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

1. Zone A: $86,600 - $161,900
2. Zone B: $79,400 - $148,400
3. Zone C: $72,100 - $134,900

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
