Jing-Jin Electric North America is seeking a Engineer/Senior Engineer, Beam Axle to join our team!


The Engineer/Senior Powertrain Engineer will lead and coordinate electric beam axle’s mechanical development, including axle and components (tube, axle shafts, CV joints, bearings, seals, steering knuckles, hub bridges, etc.) This engineer will also perform as key interface with OEM customers and Tier-2 suppliers, providing high-quality, responsive service to customers and effective management/coordination with suppliers.


Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct electric beam axle mechanical parts design including tube, shaft, CVJ, seals, knuckles, etc.
  • Lead and coordinate DFMEA/PFEMA activities for eBeam mechanical parts.
  • Coordinate validation of eBeam mechanical parts and assembly based on industry’s best practice.
  • Interface with OEM customers over engineering development. Provide responsive technical and field support to customers. Build strong relationship with customer.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and teardown assessment in support of testing, validation and quality.
  • Support manufacturing and supply chain development. Engineering interface with sub-suppliers. Support sourcing processes.
  • Carry out other duties as directed.


Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, graduate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years automotive engineering experience.
  • Highly proficient in mechanical design, analysis and 3D/2D drawing.
  • Proficient in APQP process, methodology and standard.
  • Strong experience in Beam Axle and development, validation, and supply chain. Knowledge in North America component supply chain in this field.
  • Familiar with testing/validation/DVP&R standards and failure modes.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (i.e. casting, forging, machining and assembly) and quality management.
  • Hands-on skills of beam axle teardown, assembly, and testing.
  • NVH knowledge preferred. Knowledge in e-motor/inverter/gearbox desirable.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills. Ability to collaborate.
