Automation Controls Engineer

The QTI Group is excited to partner with a manufacturer of packaging solutions to hire their next Controls Automation Engineer . Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of control systems in the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities:

• Design, program and implement PLC-based control systems in various packaging equipment product lines
• Develop and maintain HMI interfaces
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to integrate control systems into machine designs
• Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues
• Building and machine wiring – 120/240/480 Volt systems

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Master’s degree desired
• Proven experience in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI development
• Experience in automation with food plant experience preferred
• Proven project management and machine design experience
