Job Requirements / Description
- Lead transmission line design projects from conception to completion
- Provide technical oversight, expertise, and guidance to design staff
- Conduct economic studies and calculations for conductor selection, lightning performance, and grounding
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and codes
- Review vendor drawings and manage change orders
- Collaborate with project managers on schedules, budgets, and staffing
- Conduct field inspections and resolve installation issues
- Prepare technical reports and participate in client relationships and business development
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure QA/QC adherence
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 7 years of transmission engineering experience
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, BIM, Civil 3D)
- PE license and EPC project experience preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel
