Your Focus (Job Duties and Responsibilities)

Along with having strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to develop relationships throughout a diverse organization, your ability to work autonomously, identifying, and solving problems is a required skillset. We also will rely on your excellent communication skills, both written and spoken. We will look to your strong understanding of multi-tiered architecture, web-based applications, Azure cloud expertise, and object-oriented design and development.   1. Define and evolve processes to increase the throughput and quality of the deliverables.
  2. Assist project teams to gather and document clear requirements of the projects.
  3. Identify the critical risks in the projects and create plans to address them with urgency.
  4. Communicate effectively with business users to deliver projects and support requests as per the plan.
  5. Remove roadblocks for the engineering teams and find ways to avoid roadblocks with proactive planning prioritization.
  6. Manage portfolio project and inter-dependency dashboards.
  7. Understand the Engineering and IT goals, create appropriate measures, regularly track, and create plans and execute them to meet the goals.
  8. Create software and data architecture, design, and standards and practiced by the engineering teams.
  9. Track technical debt, support issues, target architecture to create projects in the roadmap to address as needed.
  10. Collaborate with other engineering managers to address inter-dependencies and align on design and architecture.
  11. Acquire proficiency in the technology used by the teams and create a technology roadmap.
  12. Conduct 1-on-1 meetings with both employees and consultants to coach to needed outcomes.
  13. Conduct quarterly and annual reviews for employees.
  14. Enable self-organized agile teams by balancing the involvement in the team meetings.
  15. Conduct agile, process, and technology training sessions.
  16. Encourage teams to create a learning environment by actively learning through certifications, book clubs, and knowledge is power sessions.
  17. Lead change management and scrum of scrum meetings.
  18. Build effective interview processes to hire the best talent, provide opportunities and coaching to grow them, and fire them if they are not the right fit for Victra.

Your Background (Requirements and Qualifications)

We need the Software Engineering Manager to work creatively, analytically, and independently. We also need for you to have the following:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an Associate degree in programming desired.
  2. Experience in leading the agile teams to meet the business needs and experience as a scrum master is a plus.
  3. 10 years of experience in developing web, net, and mobile applications.
  4. Proven object-oriented development using appropriate design patterns with C#, .Net, SQL .Net core technologies.
  5. An in-depth understanding of one or more JavaScript libraries such as React, Angular, Vue, JQuery, or Bootstrap is required.
  6. Must be able to write useful unit tests using frameworks like .xUnit, MSUnit, or Nunit.
  7. Expertise in Azure cloud technology stack such as data factories, logic apps, SQL Managed Instance, and Azure functions.
  8. Familiarity with developing microservices in the cloud platforms like Azure or AWS is a plus.
  9. Must be able to write or understand complex queries and must be able to understand the concepts of relational and data warehouse databases.
  10. Understanding of infrastructure technologies like ansible, docker, or terraform is preferred.
  11. Knowledgeable in handling performance issues by tuning the SQL Server database configuration, queries, and job schedules.
