SMSI is currently in search of a PLC programmer. This individual will have the crucial responsibility of installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting control systems and automation equipment. Responsibilities: • Set up and configure control systems, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and other automation devices • Develop and troubleshoot PLCs for the purpose of overseeing and regulating machinery and processes • Regularly inspect and perform preventive maintenance on control systems and automation equipment to guarantee peak performance • Discover and address technical issues and malfunctions in control systems and automation equipment • Work together with engineers and other team members to develop and execute control system enhancements and adjustments. • Record all maintenance and repair tasks, as well as any adjustments made to equipment and updates to software • Educate train operators and maintenance staff on the correct utilization and upkeep of control systems and automation machinery Qualifications: • A high school diploma or its equivalent is required; however, having an associate degree in electrical or automation technology is highly preferred • Demonstrated expertise in the installation, upkeep, and resolution of issues with control systems and automation machinery • Proficient in PLC programming and skilled in HMI configuration • Proficiency in electrical and electronic components, circuits, and systems • Proficiency in understanding and analyzing technical drawings, schematics, and manuals • Exceptional abilities in problem-solving and resolving issues • Exceptional focus on details and capacity to operate autonomously Compensation: $35 hourly
