The transformational acquisitions of Concho Resources Inc. and Shell Enterprises LLC’s prolific positions in the Delaware and Midland Basins in 2021 further strengthened the company’s position in the Permian Basin. At year-end 2023, the company held approximately 1 million total net acres in the Permian Basin.During 2023, net production averaged 719 MBOED.Midland Basin OverviewConocoPhillips holds approximately 372,000 total net acres in the Midland Basin, which includes approximately 248,000 unconventional net acres located in the heart of west Texas. The company operates over 2,800 producing wells across Midland, Upton, Andrews, Martin and Glasscock counties.In 2023, the company operated five drilling rigs on average, including two electric rigs. Net production in 2023 averaged 182 MBOED and 106 operated wells were brought online.Click here ( to learn more about living and working in Midland.DescriptionIf you are selected as the Drilling Engineer, you will be supporting the Permian operating areas and participating in multi-discipline well planning, as well as, developing well plans in agreement with stated well and project objectives.
