Job Description:
HDG is seeking an enthusiastic software engineer to provide software development and sustainment of C++ applications for the Department of Defense (DoD). Day-to-day efforts include working with highly talented professionals and subject matter experts to support mission-critical software systems that provide US Navy warfighters with the tools and resources for successfully planning and executing missions.
This is a full-time position based in San Diego, under our Software Solutions group.
Required qualifications:
- Currently hold an active SECRET clearance or be able to obtain one
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physics
- 2-5 years of demonstrated full-stack software development experience with:
- Object-oriented programming (e.g., C++, Java, JavaScript, Python)
- RDBMS database design (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle DB, MySQL)
- Source Code Management (e.g., Git)
- Experience with Agile software development
- Experience with enterprise software and microservices architectures
Desired qualifications:
- Software engineering experience with:
- Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and web services (i.e., REST, AJAX, JSON)
- CI/CD automation tools (i.e., Jenkins, Tekton)
- Automated testing (i.e., Selenium, Cypress)
- Static Application Security Testing (i.e., SonarQube, Coverity)
- CompTIA Security+ Certification
Salary:
Salary at Highbury Defense is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000-120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Highbury Defense’s total compensation package for employees.
