Location: NA Aerospace ( Denton, TX)
Purpose:
The Applications Engineer provides technical sales expertise to support Web's business development in winning new programs and then introducing these programs to the manufacturing sites whilst driving continuous improvement throughout their life cycle
Principal Duties and Essential Functions:

  • Creating necessary internal and deliverable technical material, data and documentation, and assisting with training
  • Preparing cost, resource and schedule plans and budgets and executing to them
  • Assessing existing processes, both qualitatively and quantitatively, on a rolling and continuous basis and making improvements
  • Preparing cost estimates and contributing to quotes and proposals
  • Preparing technical proposals to meet the customer's needs
  • Interacting with the customer and determining and understanding their requirements, both explicit and implied
  • Maintaining knowledge of latest industry developments through technical publications, conferences and trade shows. Interacting with vendors and technical institutions. Preparing business justifications for acquiring new technology. Managing its introduction to the business
  • Regular customer and vendor contact at a technical and commercial level, both at Cad Cut and on visits to customers' and vendors' facilities
  • Recommends and prepares justifications for process, technology and equipment improvements and acquisitions
  • Prepares budget, schedule and cost estimates and plans in collaboration with other team
  • Performs other function or responsibility as assigned
  • Significate Travel: 20-50% customer and supplier meetings

Required Experience:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Materials, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering and 5 years related experience
2. Excellent Communication both verbally and written
3. Technical and Planning Problem solving skills
4. CAD Experience
5.Strong computer skills including but not limited to MS Office Suite, MS Project and Autodesk Design
6. Experience using/ interacting with ERP
7. Excellent customer relationship skills
8. Outstanding attention to detail
9. US Citizenship required
