Purpose of Job

Provide technical support to Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance, and Productions. Aspects of this include:

  • Ability to investigate, design, purchase, and build machinery and jigs.
  • Proficient in 3-D CAD software (Creo preferred).
  • Ability to design equipment suitable for a mass production environment that fosters high product quality and consistent cycle time.
  • Support existing equipment with current production and new model additions.
  • Basic computer hardware knowledge.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to understand basic electrical circuit drawings and pneumatic drawings.
  • Ability to mentor and support assigning priority of projects.

Major Duties/Responsibilities of Job

  • Design, build, and set up new equipment for production.
  • Investigate & develop new methods for production (R&D).
  • Support production & maintenance with downtime improvement on production equipment.
  • Provide training for both.
  • Implement design changes as required, including machine modification.

Minimum Knowledge, Experience, and Education

  • Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 years experience designing machinery and tooling for a mass production environment.
  • 3D design experience.

Preferred Knowledge, Experience, and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent training and experience.
  • 10 years related design experience.
  • 3-D CAD training and 5 years of use.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
