Position Description:
We are looking for a frontend Software Engineer who is excited to apply their talents to delivering cutting-edge solutions to our customer's challenging projects. We seek people who resonate with Outside Analytics' core values of advancing people and mission across both commercial and US Government markets. The ideal candidate is a recognized professional with hands-on technical expertise with a good understanding of technical engineering concepts.
Our platforms are primarily built in a Linux environment with React/Vue, Javascript, Java, Python, C++, Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins. Our deployment environments include AWS Commercial, AWS GovCloud, and on-premises with US Government customers.
Position location is currently hybrid, with on-site presence required at prime's location in Boulder, CO.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as software architects, program managers, designers, and other engineers to design, develop and test software solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
- Analyze user requirements and develop software specifications.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows software development best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to other engineers.
- Debug and fix issues.
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure software quality.
- Deploy software applications to production environments.
- Maintain and update software applications to ensure they meet user needs and remain secure.
- Develop and maintain documentation.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in technology.
Clearance Requirement:
- This position requires the ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance. Active DOD Secret clearance or higher is preferred.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Candidate also must agree to participate in a background screen.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or similar relevant field
- 5+ years of experience specifically in a software engineering role (an advanced degree (eg: Masters, PhD) provides two years of experience)
- Professional hands-on software engineering experience using tools and languages in our tech stack specifically React, Javascript, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins
- Detail oriented
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- U.S. Citizenship
Candidates who have one or more of the following skills will be preferred:
- Experience building backend web services and/or native applications
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools and methodologies
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (eg: AWS, Azure)
- Experience with database design (eg: Postgres, NoSQL)
- Experience with messaging middleware (eg: ZeroMQ, KAFKA)
- Experience with Gitlab
- Experience with Atlassian tools
- Willingness and ability to learn new languages as necessary
- Active DoD SECRET security clearance or higher
Salary Range: In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $115,000 - $155,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.
