Starting Salary Range: $73,000 - $85,000 - depending on experienceLocation: Greater Seattle Area Classification: Exempt Must be eligible to work in the U.S. - Sponsorship not available General Position Summary: Support development of energy conservation projects through on-site auditing, engineering analysis, understanding of energy/mechanical systems, and thorough communication and fact-finding. Conservation projects include all aspects of utility conservation: mechanical, electrical, lighting, power systems, controls and water conservation. Assist with development and implementation of design/build projects, including building modeling and recommendations for mechanical/energy system design.Essential Job Functions: 1. Work directly with Energy Services team in the development, procurement and execution of conservation projects2. Support the development of energy conservation project scope and proposal development3. Support preliminary and detailed facility audits to identify conservation opportunities4. Identify & recommend specific conservation measures for existing facilities5. Apply building energy modeling programs to develop building load & energy models6. Estimate and document energy & operational savings opportunities7. Work with Project Managers & Estimating team to develop project cost estimates8. Develop and document design concepts for project proposals9. Work directly with project managers and measurement & verification specialists to confirm estimated energy savings requirements10. Coordinate with utilities to obtain incentives & rebates11. Identify project risks and work with project team members to mitigate12. Maintain and control documents in compliance with UMC Standards as well as contractual compliance13. Review contract drawings, detail drawings and specifications14. Assist in proposal development, bid process and the procurement of new work15. Provide proactive, clear and timely communication to team members16. Develop and maintain client relations17. Be professional and uphold UMC Core Values18. Setup detailed energy models for new and existing facilities19. Understand and apply Energy CodesSecondary Job Functions: 1. Assist in development of project measurement & verification plans2. Paid Time Off:
Eligible employees begin accruing PTO as of their date of hire and accrual rates are based on years of service. Base annual accrual starts at 120 hours/15 days for full time status. PTO is a combination of sick and vacation accruals. UMC follows the required WA State Sick Leave guidelines and employees are provided (1) for every 40 hours worked as part of the PTO package. UMC also offers (7) paid holidays, plus (1) Floating Holiday to be used within the calendar year.
