Bolton & Menk is now accepting applications for a Professional Engineer to join our Site Design and Landscape Architect team as a Senior Project Engineer in Iowa. In this unique role, you will be responsible for collaboration on project design for a wide variety of large and small scale projects with an emphasis on sports and athletics. This role will also involve the overall planning, development, and completion of projects in a profitable manner, along with client contact and business development activities in designated areas.
We are looking for a licensed engineer with experience in site design, client meetings, and the ability to manage projects from inception through construction. This position can be based in Ames, Cedar Rapids, or Des Moines, Iowa.
What You Will Be Doing:
This role will focus on site development projects. As a Project Engineer, you will coordinate planning, development, and completion of projects ensuring client satisfaction while working closely with Project Managers to understand client needs and expectations.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota
- 10+ years' progressive experience in the civil engineering field, including construction observation
- Experience in plan and specification development
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred skills:
- AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency
- Ability to develop grading plans
- Stormwater management tools (HydroCAD, P8, MIDS)
- Erosion and Sediment Control
- Storm sewer pipe design ability
- Experience with client contact and public presentations
