Senior Software Engineer-Information Security

Position Summary:

IDA is looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Information Security (Full-Stack), who has a passion for developing products and services for our Risk and Compliance area. Ideal candidates should have a strong background in technology and security awareness. Some of the core technology experiences that are desirable for this role include good full stack development experience as well as operational maintenance.

The InfoSec Decision Automation (IDA) team delivers advanced, data-driven services to enable scalable, risk and compliance management for Walmart and its markets.

What you'll do:

1. Design and develop REST APIs and micro-services for our Risk and Compliance functional area.
2. Design and develop data models both in SQL (MS SQL) and NoSQL (Cassandra, Graph DB).
3. Develop solutions, frameworks, and tools for Risk and Compliance Domain (Vulnerability management, Compliance Reporting – PCI & SOX, Risk Management, and measurement) in the enterprise.
4. Work across the entire vulnerability management ecosystem to manage effective and efficient data flow and exchange.
5. Collaborate with security engineers, infrastructure teams, external teams, and partners in an agile manner to build and release product features that cater to business requirements.
6. Utilize your knowledge of applicable technology stacks and platforms to automate Vulnerability management, Compliance Reporting – PCI & SOX, Risk Management, and measurement.
7. Design and architect solutions to remove performance-impacting barriers and increase the efficiency of our automation operations.
8. Create proof of concepts, prototyping, and experimentation.
9. Work on third-party products and custom frameworks in managing vulnerabilities for the enterprise.
10. Responsible for operations, monitoring, and upkeep of the hosted services, products, reports, and analytics.

What you'll bring:

1. Experience in building scalable, resilient, secure enterprise application platforms using micro-services, APIs, front-end, and back-end technologies.
2. Working experience in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript and frameworks/libraries such as Spring, Node.js, React, Angular.
3. Experience in creating user interfaces using HTML5 coding and CSS libraries like Bootstrap.
4. Working experience in cloud solutions and platforms, CI/CD pipeline.
5. Knowledge of triaging and fixing bugs in a micro-service, n-tier architecture, and in big data platforms.
6. Demonstrated ability to learn new programming languages or technologies.
7. Flexibility in adopting to new areas of work, domain, and technical competencies.
8. Awareness of information security domains, vulnerabilities, threats, and exploits.
9. Good written and verbal communication skills.
10. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
