Profile Description: We’re seeking someone to join our team as Java Fullstack Developer with multi-tiered Java EE-style applications & understanding of Front-End technologies. Candidate will work as part of an Agile squad and interact with other squad members as well as external stakeholders including business and technology partners (local as well as global) across Wealth Management, infrastructure team, architecture team to deliver the objectives.
WM_Technology: Wealth Management Technology is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Business. Practice areas include:
- Analytics, Intelligence, & Data Technology (AIDT)
- Client Platforms
- Core Technology Services (CTS)
- Financial Advisor Platforms
- Global Banking Technology (GBT)
- Investment Solutions Technology (IST)
- Institutional Wealth and Corporate Solutions Technology (IWCST)
- Technology Delivery Management (TDM)
- User Experience (UX)
- CAO team
Operations Field & Info Tech: Operations, Field and Information Technology (OFIT) is a dynamic and fast-paced area within the Firm’s WM Technology Division. Qualifications
What you’ll do in the role:
- Hands-on development using Java and related technologies, design and development of scalable resilient financial systems, produce high quality maintainable code while enforcing development best practices.
- Collaborate with other team members through peer programming and code reviews.
- Work in the Agile development methodologies, collaborating with business and technology teams located globally.
- Actively contribute and participate in sprint grooming and planning discussions, daily stand-ups, and Agile ceremonies.
- Take ownership of code components from analysis to development to unit testing as well as production support.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- At least 2 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
- Core Java, Java EE, Spring (core, aspect, boot, batch), Web Services (XML, JSON, REST, SOAP), Relational databases (SQL server, DB2).
- Understanding of non-functional requirements (security, scalability, reliability).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills.
- Working experience of Agile development methodologies and of DevOps integration.
- Exposure to JIRA or other ALM tools to create a productive, high quality development.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
