Structural Engineer

Structural Engineer will focus on the preparation of formal calculation reports for submission of design confirmation to various cliental.

Calculation reports must professionally present verification of all levels of design with the application of nationally recognized design standards (AISC, ACI, ASCE, AWS Etc.).

Essential Functions

* Preparation of calculation packages

* Drafting of structural details

* Must be fluent at producing steel, aluminum and concrete anchor engineering

* Work effectively as part of team and independently

* Disciplined, self-motivated

* Ability to work on several projects simultaneously

Competencies

* Experience with concrete, steel, and Aluminum design.

* Experience with creating technical reports.

* Ability to review design drawings, specifications, and technical memoranda

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to collaborate, and strong analytical skills.

* Basic understanding of IBC, ASCE, and Local Code requirements

* Fluent with AutoCAD

* MS Excel, MS Word, MathCAD

* Conduct structural analyses using computer software (example: RISA, NASTRAN, SolidWorks, or other)
