As our new Structural Engineer you will be part of a highly skilled and experienced team of building design professionals who execute interesting and diverse projects in the municipal, industrial, institutional and commercial sectors. Our team is at the forefront of helping clients achieve their built environment goals emphasizing sustainability concepts. You will have opportunities to collaborate with design and construction professionals in all the Ramboll business units and organizations in the Americas and globally including Environment & Health, Water, and Advanced Manufacturing.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Completing assignments requiring a knowledge of structural engineering fundamentals and the application of those fundamentals to the production of engineering deliverables
  • Executing a variety of engineering tasks including the preparation of reports, investigatory studies, engineering design calculations, and Contract Documents
  • Maintaining routine communications with the project team members during proposal, design and construction phases of a project
  • Reviewing schedules and budgets of projects under their supervision
  • Preparing proposals and conducting efforts supporting business development activities
  • Performing detailed checking of work completed by others under their direct supervision
  • Visiting project sites to review work in progress, gain field experience, and advance practical engineering skills

  • Associates Degree in engineering technology, science, math, architecture, computing, technical drawing, or other relevant technical curriculum and 6+ years of qualifying engineering experience; OR
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and 0-3 years experience
  • Familiarity with structural engineering design and finite element analysis (preferred)
  • Successfully passed, or plan to take, the FE exam with intent to pursue licensure in Professional Engineering
  • Confident communicator with strong report writing skills
  • Collaborates effectively in multidisciplinary design teams
  • Works independently with direction and support from senior colleagues
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit
  • Willingness to grow and learn new market sectors and areas
  • Actively participate in structural team development and individual professional growth

Salary Transparency Statement

At Ramboll, your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting, this role is likely to be compensated at an annualbase salary between $55,000 and $68,000. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, includingexperience, geographical location, internal equity, market conditions, education/training andskill level, and does not include bonuses, overtime, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
