About being our Project Engineer - Airports
As our Project Engineer , you will join the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) project team of 40+ planners, architects, engineers, and other technical professionals to plan & design their next wave of capital investments, including airfield improvements, terminal improvements, infrastructure improvements, and more.
Responsibility Highlights for our Project Engineer - Airports
- Work alongside a multi-disciplined team of planners, architects, engineers, construction managers, property managers, and other professionals in a collaborative environment
- Perform records-research, field investigations, and stakeholder outreach to verify and document existing conditions
- Develop high-quality maps, diagrams, drawings, renderings, and other work-products to support the planning, design, operations, and maintenance of airport facilities
- Develop tools, templates, and standards to innovate and improve our processes
Minimum Qualifications to be our Project Engineer - Airports
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, and/or related field
- Strong credentials & experience with Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), such as preparing single-line diagrams, floor-plans, and other drawings to reflect existing & proposed conditions (electrical, mechanical, structural, plumbing, etc.)
- Experience & knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Building Information Modeling (BIM), and other spatial-data systems
- Experience & knowledge of building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills in a collaborative setting
Preferred Qualifications for our Project Engineer - Airports
- Experience with Autodesk (CAD, Revit, etc.) and/or similar software
- Professional Certifications in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM)
