The primary purpose of this role is to support SD-WAN infrastructure operations. This involves daily handling of incidents, requests, work orders, and ensuring system stability.
The role's responsibilities also include maintenance, lifecycle management, incident response, problem management, daily administration, and other routine care.
Key Responsibilities
- Translates business requirements and functional specifications into technical requirements that continuously improve the SD-WAN service in terms of capability and reliability.
- Support and maintain SD-WAN infrastructure.
- Participates in SD-WAN related projects and operational support.
- Closely work with the engineering teams in troubleshooting and fixing network issues in SD-WAN Infrastructure.
- Handle and follow up with Internet service provider issues.
- Troubleshoot ISP issues and site issues.
- Troubleshoot store-related network infrastructure issues.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Routers, Switches, Palo Alto Firewalls, and F5 Load Balancers.
- Hands-on experience with BMC Remedy or equivalent ticketing tools.
- Hands-on experience with ARUBA Wireless.
- Understand IP Routing fundamentals.
- Familiarity with routing protocols – EIGRP, BGP/iBGP/eBGP.
- Added advantage – Experience with Aruba switches.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, CIS, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- CCNA/CCNP/Equivalent certified - Mandatory.
- 2 years of experience supporting a large enterprise network.
- 2 years of experience configuring and troubleshooting routing protocols including BGP and OSPF.
- 1 year of experience configuring and troubleshooting QoS, traffic shaping, and WAN transport technologies.
- Familiarity with technologies from leading network infrastructure vendors such as Arista, Aruba, Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, Palo Alto, and Silver Peak.
