Job Overview:

Under direct supervision, the Technical Support Engineer performs a variety of routine support activities in the technical support function. This role acts as a technical liaison, providing troubleshooting and repair support to field engineers, technicians, and customers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical troubleshooting and repair support for company field engineers, technicians, and customers.
  • Assess and respond to situations where standard procedures have failed to isolate or fix problem equipment or software.
  • Report design, reliability, and maintenance issues to the engineering team.
  • Assist the Sales Manager and dealers with price quotes, technical questions, and product demonstrations.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Material Control, and Quality Control on customer queries.
  • Collect background data (cost, order history, etc.) to assist in large order negotiations.
  • Maintain competitive literature and pricing files for ready reference.
  • Write application notes.
  • Assist with touchscreen product return testing and analysis.


Qualifications:

Must have an Engineering Degree in one of the following fields:

  1. Electrical Engineering
  2. Mechanical Engineering
  3. Industrial Engineering
  • Open to new graduates with degrees in electrical/electronics engineering.
  • Experience with Ladder Logic is a significant plus.
  • Experience in troubleshooting PLCs, displays/interfaces, sensors, batteries, and wiring diagrams.
