Senior Hardware Solution Engineer

Supermicro is seeking a passionate, energetic Hardware Solutions Senior Engineer who can contribute to the development of industry-leading AI/HPC server products for cloud and enterprise customers. This is a key technical presales role, focused on server/storage/networking solutions. In addition to technical presales and solution architecture level tasks, you are expected to collaborate with engineering, marketing, and sales departments to promote products and interact with customers directly to sell these products. We are looking for candidates with strong technical and communication skills including research into vertical market solutions. You will be responsible for translating the business and technical requirements from the clients into a feasible solution.

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Leverage strong technical background to create technical product requirements based on customer requirements and business requirements
• Work closely with sales and customers to provide support on any integrations needed to develop the business, i.e. contribute to customer RFPs and partner SOWs
• Provide technical presentations and whitepapers, demonstrating Supermicro’s technologies excellence
• Engage in researching technologies and products to propose new offerings and Proof of Concepts

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with minimum of 8 years hands-on experience in system/server architecture is desirable
• Strong knowledge of computer server architecture. Networking is a plus
• Demonstrated ability in technical presales or product marketing
• Experience in developing server products (Hardware, Firmware or Software) is a plus
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with storytelling abilities that drive customer engagement, adoption, and market growth
• Ability to build and demonstrate proof-of-concept that meets or exceeds customer business needs
• Ability to present the corporate brand, product messaging and solutions to customers

$137,000 - $156,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
