POSITION OVERVIEW :

Client is seeking a Senior Salesforce DevOps Engineer to join their technology team.

POSITION GENERAL DUTIES AND TASKS :

Job Description Summary:

This position will be responsible for the source code control, CI/CD, testing, monitoring and automation of Salesforce deployments using Jenkins.

The successful candidate will have functional and technical expertise in the configuration, customization and deployment of features using Salesforce Service Cloud including UI/UX and data integrations.

The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in Salesforce development, testing and deployment, as well as expertise in DevOps practices, cybersecurity and automation.

This position will provide technical leadership for DevOps process end to end in collaboration with product managers, Scrum Master, IT, Management, and other engineers.

The candidate must be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders, and drive efforts to completion with minimal direction.

They will also have a strong passion for developing new and innovative solutions to solve existing problems, and desire to constantly improve the services we provide to the organization.

The candidate is expected to have a strong aptitude, customer focus and drive for results.

Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Automate deployment and configuration management setting-up the CD/CI pipeline and environment from scratch, using Jenkins, GitLab and related tools.
  2. Having a daily impact overseeing the DevOps release process and assisting our developers throughout their release process.
  3. Implement DevOps best practices such as version control, continuous integration, testing automation, and deployment automation.
  4. Collaborate with the development team to ensure that code is developed in accordance with best practices and coding standards. Ensure safe and secure environments for development, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and deployment.
  5. Ensure the security and compliance of the Salesforce platform and other systems by implementing necessary cybersecurity measures.
  6. Maintain the Salesforce platform by troubleshooting issues, improving performance, and ensuring data integrity.
  7. Deeply understanding Client release process, thinking strategically about continuous improvement and automation that enables developers to release efficiently and on-time.
  8. Developing, maintaining, and advancing CI/CD pipeline.
  9. Define, groom and sequence epics and stories in collaboration with product manager and team.
  10. Maintain GIT repositories and documentation of DevOps/release documentation related to build and deployment.
  11. Develop, test, and deploy Salesforce applications, features and customizations using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, JavaScript and other tools.
  12. Provide feedback from code reviews and enforce changes to meet standards; conduct code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures.
  13. Support and track Go-Live activities to ensure a successful release, post deployment activities, including knowledge transfer, process documentation and application bug fixes.
  14. Acting as a single point of contact to plan, coordinate, and oversee our releases, patches, and emergency change requests.
  15. Join Production support calls on a needed basis and support as needed.
  16. Be available On-call support to release the emergency changes to production.
  17. Embrace emerging technology opportunities and contribute to the best practices in support of the bank's technology transformation.
  18. Contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  19. Review tasks critically and ensure they are appropriately prioritized and sized for incremental delivery.
  20. Communicate processes and results with all parties involved in the product team, including engineers, product owner, scrum master, third party vendors and customers. Maintain process documentation.
  21. Anticipate and communicate blockers and delays before they require escalation.
