We are hiring an Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our Application Development team. This role focuses on creating back-end software for essential applications, interpreting business requirements, writing functional code, conducting unit testing, and fixing defects in legacy code. The developer will work collaboratively on multiple branches and should have strong teamwork and communication skills.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years as a PL/SQL Application Developer, proficient with tools like Toad and SQL Plus.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in creating views, packages, functions, and stored procedures.
- Strong knowledge of collections and asynchronous processes.
- Ability to interpret execution plans and optimize queries and functions.
- Skilled in creating complex DML operations and debugging.
Soft Skills: Strong troubleshooting and communication abilities; attention to detail.
Education: BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant development experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in analyzing requirements and provide input for development.
- Follow direction from senior developers and collaborate with internal teams.
- Write clean, efficient, and scalable code.
- Perform unit testing and prepare applications for deployment.
- Revise, update, refactor, and debug code as needed.
- Improve and maintain existing software applications.
- Create documentation as needed for code and processes.
- Provide third-tier production support to the help desk, including assigned weekend and holiday support if needed.
