We are seeking a highly qualifiedLead Product Packaging Engineer for our Broomfield, CO location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working under limited supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented engineers to architect, design, build, and test Quantinuum's machines
- Leading multiple complex projects or assignments within large projects with minimal oversight
- Leading the improvement and standardization of product packaging on existing & developing products with focus on maintaining technical performance, minimizing risk, & reducing integration timelines
- Leading packaging qualification activities by generating packaging protocols, overseeing test execution, analyzing test data, and authoring qualification reports
- Provide technical expertise for packaging risk assessments and failure mode/root cause analyses
- Maintain and establish ongoing communication with internal counterparts and packaging vendors
- Advance the maturity of the engineering function's outcomes, processes, & tools in alignment with Quantinuum's future business needs
- Enable maturing the processes & tools of Quantinuum via a focus on Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with team leads and program managers in the development of project plans, proposals, and schedules
- Up to 20% travel (e.g. <1 week/month) could be needed in short bursts to support vendor/partner visits.
- Bachelor's degree minimum
- Minimum 8+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer
- Minimum 3+ years of experience summarizing the progress of your efforts to management & team members
- Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. person (defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status)
- Demonstrated knowledge of the following areas of improving product survivability & reliability related to packaging: requirements, design, testing, validation, and qualification
- Demonstrated knowledge of the process for developing and qualifying packaging
- Demonstrated expertise in improving survivability of products throughout their lifecycle
- Expertise in product development and effective consultation with internal stakeholders
- Experience with complex electro-mechanical, opto-mechanical, & cryogenic systems & products
- Experience working with packaging suppliers
- Experience leading small design teams and projects
- Expertise improving the outputs of engineering teams
- Experience with Onshape CAD & Arena PLM software
- Ability to build strong relationships and effectively partner with others
- Strong organization, communication, and documentation skills
$125,000 - $155,000 a year
Compensation & Benefits:
Range posted is inclusive of bonus target
