The Engineering technician will coordinate with various departments and suppliers to perform calibrations, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of manufacturing instruments and equipment per the SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). Under supervision of engineering management, the technician will perform planned and unplanned maintenance on manufacturing facilities, utilities, and equipment. The technician will monitor equipment failures and determine the need for appropriate repairs, operate various test instruments and test fixtures and install and configure new instruments. The technician will perform routine and as-needed building maintenance tasks.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerform calibrations and maintenance activities prior to the scheduled due dateDocument calibration and maintenance activities within the equipment management programManages schedule and works with engineering & production teams to ensure equipment availabilityProvide input on maintenance, calibration, and equipment proceduresSchedule and work with suppliers to perform service, installation, calibration, maintenance activities for facility, utilities, and equipmentTroubleshoot manufacturing issues to identify root cause and implement corrective actionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement effortsPerform general facility and engineering service tasks as neededCommunicates technical information within the teamPrimarily hands-on workerSupport any emergency and afterhours building needs and activities as requiredADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Execute engineering protocols and validationsPerform investigations and support CAPAs as neededEnsure proper documentation is completed to meet quality system requirementsEnsure compliance with all applicable regulations and standardsThe employee may be required to perform other duties as assigned by managementREQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLSA minimum of a high school degree or GED; prior experience or related education is a plus3+ years of experience in a technical/technician role.
