Summary
In this role you will collaborate with other senior technical team members and developers to conceptualize, design, and deliver innovative technology solutions. You will interact with various technology, product, and business teams across MUFG.
Oversee on-going maintenance for SaaS solutions working closely with vendor support.
Deliver projects that adhere to agile practices, including sprints, automated unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing pipelines.
Perform complex application design and programming activities in the latest technologies: Java, REST, Microservices, Angular, React, Spring boot, Spring Security, Kafka, Hibernate, MQ, OpenShift, AWS/Cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins.
Provide technical leadership in terms of architecting applications, mentoring developers, and making smart technology decisions.
Responsibilities
• Perform complex application and integration services design and programming activities in the latest techniques: Java, REST, microservices, AWS/Cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins.
• Provide clear technical guidance with a focus on API/integration, security, and app performance.
• Ensure projects adhere to continuous delivery practices with automated unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing pipelines.
• Provide technical leadership in terms of architecting applications, mentoring developers, and making smart technology decisions.
• Deliver projects that adhere to continuous delivery practices with automated unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing pipelines.
Skills & Competencies
• Proficiency with object-oriented and functional languages and tools, including Java, NodeJS, Angular version 9+, React, CSS, HTML, Hibernate, Static code analysis, CI/CD, Jenkins, and automatic build framework.
• Proficiency with databases, including Oracle and MS SQL.
• Integration experience with SaaS solutions leveraging API, SAML, MQ, Kafka, and File Transmissions.
• Experience leading technical iteration on the design, development, documentation, testing, and deployment of platform user-interface features.
• Excellent communication skills are a must.
• Solid experience in leading/managing technical software design and development experience in enterprise web application and integration services.
• 8 or more years of developing at all levels of the application stack (front end/UI, middle/services, and back end/database).
• Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of leading/managing technical software design and development experience in enterprise web application and integration services.
• Minimum of 8 years of application design, development, and implementation.
• Minimum 5 years supporting and integrating with third-party applications using API, MQ, SFTP, SAML, Kafka.
• Minimum 5 years working with teams in building and deploying applications on OpenShift, Kubernetes, AWS/Cloud infrastructure.
• Minimum 5 years working with teams in software development methodology such as Agile and Waterfall.
• Minimum 6 years of developing at all levels of the application stack (front-end/UI, middle/Services, and back-end/Database).
• Minimum 6 years of experience implementing and maintaining RESTful Microservices & APIs.
• Minimum 4 years of experience working with batch processing with SFTP, IBM Sterling or similar tools.
• Ability to research and learn new methodologies and technologies and bring knowledge to the team.
• Must have excellent communication skills to present information to a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $145K - $182K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
