To support our customers, we are looking for a:
NX CAD Designer
- Starting date: as soon as possible
- Office location: Northville, Michigan 48168
Your responsibilities:
- Design CAD models for engine and battery cooling components using NX software
- Collaborate with clients and internal technical teams to develop feasible designs, from concept to production
- Prepare CAD models for various downstream activities such as FEA, prototyping, validation, manufacturing, customer presentations, etc
- Support cross-functional teams during the RFQ phase by developing CAD concepts, performing 3D analysis/measurements, and preparing presentations (e.g. Quote PPT, BIP Matrix, Was-Become, etc.)
- Lead and contribute to Design review meetings, ensuring quality and accuracy through check-sheet documents
- Design components adhere to Tristone guidelines and customer specifications
- Provide innovative solutions, address design challenges, and offer cost-reduction ideas
- Release and manage 3D and 2D Models within Stellantis and Ford TeamCenter environments
- Utilize the Tristone PLM system to manage CAD models, assemblies, and drawings efficiently
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated skill in NX design software is required. NX will be the primary tool for this role.
- Experience with Catia V5 is a plus
- Minimum 5 years of experience in CAD design, with a preference in the automotive industry
- Expertise in NX Sheet Metal design is mandatory
- Experience in NX Mechanical Routing is preferred
- Knowledge of TeamCenter and Vis.Mockup is required
- Strong understanding of Injected plastic design
- Excellent organizational skills, along with strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Team spirit, willingness for performance, and flexibility
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
