General Information:
Hitachi Energy located in Alamo, TN is seeking an Electro-mechanical Repair Lead to join its team. In this position, you will follow safety and work procedures to perform and oversee preventative maintenance, routine mechanical and/or electrical repairs on production and processing equipment. The selected candidate will perform and oversee troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and replace electrical and/or mechanical components as necessary to ensure maximum uptime and customer satisfaction is achieved. Modify equipment as assigned by the planner/scheduler to support a continuous improvement culture.
Your Responsibilities:
- Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures including Lock-Out-Tag-Out.
- Provide and assist with unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
- Work with the engineering department to ensure the plant is running efficiently.
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machines and plant equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machines, updating the PM program as needed to better support customer satisfaction.
- Work with the planner/scheduler to ensure the team is up to date and current on assigned PMs, assisting where needed to ensure machine reliability.
- Communicate effectively and constructively in a team environment.
- Read and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and technical manuals.
- Have working knowledge of 24V - 480V equipment, and how to safely troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair.
- Troubleshoot and repair systems or equipment including hydraulic systems, transformers, motors, DC circuitry, PLCs, variable frequency drives, relays, switches, position sensing devices, and printed circuit boards.
- Monitor and document observations, settings, readings, meters, and gauges as needed.
- Be proficient in using common electrical/mechanical devices such as multi-meters, amp-probes, megger, calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities as needed.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Basic welding and cutting, including acetylene torch, plasma, stick, TIG, and brazing.
- Secure and complete required department work order documentation such as confined space and hot work permits.
- Record all work timely in a CMMS software.
- Be responsible for housekeeping in your work area.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the planner/scheduler.

Your Background:
- Associate’s degree in an engineering discipline or industrial maintenance/electrician certificate from an accredited trade school.
- Must have work authorization that permits you to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
