We are seeking a senior DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. The candidate will work with a tight, highly skilled engineering team in planning, design, and operation of new and existing platforms in concert with development and technology goals and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Contribute to our overall architecture and infrastructure, especially as it relates to availability, scalability, security, performance, etc.
  2. Help improve, implement, and maintain our CI/CD setup
  3. Participate in building and enforcing best practice disciplines for SDLC
  4. Provide support and problem resolution impacting our SDLC
  5. Build and maintain infrastructure in AWS utilizing infrastructure-as-code
  6. Develop scripts and monitoring tools around containing and reducing costs within AWS
  7. Liaise with members of the Engineering team to build awareness on best practices and effective usage of our development tools portfolio
  8. Foster the DevOps disciplines at Resonate -- reduce friction and time to deliver new code to production
  9. Participate in PagerDuty rotations and respond to infrastructure outages 24/7.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

  1. 4+ years of professional DevOps or equivalent software/system engineer experience
  2. 2 or more years of Python coding/scripting experience
  3. 1-2 years of Terraform infrastructure-as-code experience
  4. 2+ years professional hands-on experience with AWS – DevOps or Solution Architect Professional certificate preferred
  5. Experience administering and managing monitoring tools - Splunk, TIG (Telegraf, InfluxDB, Grafana) Nagios, AWS X-Ray, etc.
  6. Experience supporting and administering Linux systems
  7. Experience around managing containers and Docker and working with AWS ECS/Fargate
  8. Experience writing Maven, Gradle, and SBT build files
  9. Experience with source control, CI and build tools – Git (Github/Gitlab), TeamCity/Jenkins, AWS CodeDeploy/CodePipeline, GitHub Actions
  10. Experience administering and managing streaming data services – Kafka
  11. Experience with configuration management tools – Ansible preferred
  12. Experience working/collaborating with software engineering in an Agile environment
  13. Experience debugging and fixing system-wide infrastructure issues
  14. Nice to Have Qualifications
  15. Experience managing Java Spring Boot microservices
  16. Experience with AWS data engineering/MLOps tools – EMR, SageMaker
  17. Experience building Step Functions and developing AWS lambdas
  18. Experience aiding in the development of ETL processes
  19. Experience working with various security vendors to perform routine security scans, pen testing, etc.
  20. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
