Security Engineer

Pennant Solutions Group is actively seeking an IT Security Engineer at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL. This is in support of a large NASA contract.

Candidates are required to have or be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance for this role.

Essential Qualifications:

1. Experience in designing security infrastructure such as firewalls, VPNs, content filters, and WAFs
2. Knowledge of IPsec VPNs and remote access
3. Proficiency in firewall policy review and submission
4. A Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience

Desirable Qualifications:

1. Practical experience with Fortinet Firewall, Pulse Security Appliance, and/or Cisco ASA
2. Network and Security Certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+, CISSP, CySa+, CCNA, Fortinet Certifications)
3. Hands-on experience with AWS
4. Experience with lab testing and coordinating requirements
