About The Role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Data Engineer excited to thrive in an energetic startup environment.The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player, adept at building simple and elegant solutions to meet business needs across expansive datasets, with a strong focus on optimized performance and scalability.

In this role, you will work closely with data science, product, and marketing teams, leveraging datasets from millions of users, various external APIs, and data feeds to extract valuable insights.You should be comfortable operating within a highly collaborative team setting, where your ability to manipulate and interpret complex data is crucial to driving impactful decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that are the backbone of our business operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand the overall business context, and translate them into detailed technical specifications.
  • Evaluate and prototype new technologies, features, and frameworks, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve.
  • Develop and productize data ingestion from multiple sources, delivering data seamlessly to various destinations with well-orchestrated pipelines.
  • Work closely with marketing teams to rapidly prototype and refine new datasets that drive business insights.
  • Monitor and maintain existing pipelines, implementing robust checks to quickly identify and resolve issues.
  • Process and manage user engagement data, product feeds, and APIs, handling both batch and real-time data flows efficiently.
  • Contribute to a transparent, agile team environment, actively supporting and collaborating with peers.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience building scalable data infrastructure.
  • 1+ years of experience with Snowflake.
  • 1+ years of experience with DBT.
  • Experience integrating with third-party APIs in a scalable, robust and maintainable manner.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience designing data models and debugging query performance.
  • Experience levering cloud infrastructure to build and maintain reliable data pipelines.
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating solutions with remote team members.
  • Working knowledge of Python - 3+ years of experience a plus.
  • Working experience in AdTech a plus.
  • Working hours overlapping with 8am - 10am PST/PDT.
