Cyient is seeking experienced and motivated Senior Packaging Engineers (with experience in Medical Device packaging preferred) to join our growing team across various locations (Cincinnati, OH; Raritan, NJ; Zuchwil, CH; Boston, MA ; Jacksonville, FL and Irvine, CA).
In this role, you will play a key role in independently managing medical device packaging projects of moderate complexity, while also providing leadership and guidance to a team of offshore/offshore packaging resources.
Responsibilities:
Independently manage all aspects of medical device packaging projects, from concept development to implementation.
Lead and manage the work of offshore/offshore packaging engineering resources, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, regulatory, manufacturing) to design and develop optimal packaging solutions.
Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices for medical device packaging.
Conduct and interpret lab testing to ensure packaging meets performance requirements.
Maintain a strong understanding of cost-optimization principles for packaging design.
Document packaging processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree /Diploma in Engineering, Packaging Science, or a related field (required).
Minimum 5 years of experience in medical device packaging engineering.
Proven ability to independently manage complex medical device packaging or similar projects.
Experience leading and managing a team of engineers (a plus).
Understanding of medical device regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, ISO).
Experience with packaging materials, testing methodologies, and cost-analysis is preferred.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
