Join our team as a Manager, Packaging Engineering. Job Summary This position leads the team responsible for managing all aspects of global packaging for inbound components required within the production of motorcycles, finished motorcycle delivery to worldwide dealers, and global distribution of service parts and accessories. The Packaging Manager is the subject matter expert for packaging design and applications within manufacturing operations and related supply chains. This position oversees the new product development and implementation of packaging solutions for procurement, processing, and shipment of new model components, commodities, and vehicles for all global manufacturing facilities. This position is responsible for the establishment, monitoring, and communication of Packaging budgets, key metrics, resource requirements, and project/milestone status to cross-functional stakeholders and business leaders. Job Responsibilities Directly manages the Harley-Davidson Packaging team and is accountable for team performance and results. Leads team to institute packaging for consumer use (Part and Accessories), factory use (Domestic and International), and finished goods (Motorcycles). Develops, sets, and maintains the global packaging strategy for Harley-Davidson. Provides direction to the Packaging team by assigning and prioritizing projects, tracking key metrics, and assigning corrective actions as required.
