Senior Software Engineer / Full Stack Developer
We are seeking a responsible Senior Software Engineer to join our local team of software developers located in Pittsburgh, PA. The team is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of highly specialized software to aid in the delivery of molecular diagnostic testing. Our software development team works directly with key stakeholders, scientists, and end users to develop, commercialize, and deliver new products to market. Candidates will join an experienced cross-functional team of strong individual contributors working together to deliver high-quality diagnostic solutions. Candidates must be experienced, self-motivated individuals seeking an opportunity to apply their talents on a team that makes a real difference.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in either a leadership or independent contributor role on a software development team.
- Strong Application/Web Server skills - (Wildfly, Spring, Tomcat, or equivalent).
- Strong Web GUI skills – (HTML, JavaScript, React.js, AngularJS or equivalent).
- Strong Web Services skills (JAX-WS/JAX-RS).
- Strong database skills working within an ORM source model (Hibernate / JPA).
- Ability to work with other developers on design and implementation.
- Ability to work independently on proof-of-concept projects.
- Strong personal and leadership skills to help focus efforts and resources towards project success.
- Strong communication skills to help document requirements, test plans and facilitate user training.
- Linux / Unix experience a plus.
- Business Intelligence / Analytics experience a plus.
This is a hybrid position and candidate must be located within 80 miles of Pittsburgh, PA and able to work in the office at least 2 days per week.
