Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Associate Engineer Software to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located onsite in San Diego, California.

Join our team to work in an embedded technology environment to develop software working with real time operating systems for use in flight and mission critical systems.   We build complex aircraft systems using the latest technologies including simulation, cloud computing, DevSecOps, and cyber that can rapidly evolve to deliver enhanced capabilities for fielded systems, modernizing in partnership with our customers to meet their most complex missions. Accomplish

In this role you will design, develop, integrate, modify and maintain on premises hyper-converged datacenters.

Essential Functions:

- Develop engineering and automated deployments for datacenter system configurations.

- Executing engineering projects on schedule.

- Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and redline documented procedures.

- Implement engineering changes to the system as required

- Responsible for integrating and testing software and/or hardware systems in complex IT systems.

- Work closely with Engineers and Technicians in a lab environment.

- Good planning, coordination, and documentation skills are required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 0 years of STEM related engineering experience;
  • Experience with Linux Server deployment and maintenance
  • Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.
  • Experience deploying in virtualized environments (VMWare and Hyper-V)
  • Infrastructure automation experience with tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, etc
  • Basic knowledge of Backup/Storage and Network technologies
  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Active Directory Federation Services
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms such as AWS and Azure
  • Familiar with Agile methodology
  • Familiar with version control, GIT experience preferred
  • Ability to author and maintain technical installation, configuration, and update documentation
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management

Salary Range: $72,100 - $108,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
