Do you have experience with classified network environments?MITRE's N211 Army Mission Command Networks team is currently seeking a Systems Engineer. This position is an exciting role to assist in the development of technical approaches focused the design, develop, integration and testing of tactical radios systems. Candidate should have a working knowledge of tactical communications systems design and be able to apply that knowledge to perform analysis and solve problems. The candidate will engage with stakeholders to analyze operational requirements, address communications network challenges, apply sound technology solutions, and advance the state of communications and networking to benefit the sponsor’s mission. This role in is support of Program Executive Office (PEO) Command Control Communications Tactical (C3T). PEO C3T is supporting the Army’s network transformation strategy with a commitment to deliver network capability that ensures the Army, with Unified Action partners win against any adversary in the most challenging contested and congested electromagnetic spectrum and cyber environments.Responsibilities:Serve as a trusted advisor in development of experimental architectures and assessment methodologies to inform network transformation.Support test and field experimentation events in coordination with government and contractor stakeholders, to experiment with network architecture concepts and/or emerging technologies.Offer subject matter expertise when developing network architectures, network components and network studies.Keep abreast of industry network trends and evaluate commercial technologies and recommend systems integration strategies that will move the modernization of the network forward.Lead and direct technical assessments of various communications and networking components to inform systems design decisions.Lead and direct trade studies, and technical assessmentsBasic Qualifications:Typically, requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a BS Engineering or related field; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCIPossesses an understanding of Army network interfaces, challenges, and deploymentKnowledge of current Army radios, waveforms, and network kitKnowledge of systems engineering practices and testing including requirements development, analysis & traceability, and requirements managementAbility to write technical reports and/or presenting briefings of analysis, findings, and recommendations to Government sponsorsGood communication skills and ability to present highly technical material to a diverse audienceExperience working collaboratively in a team environmentThis position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-sitePreferred Qualifications:MS in Engineering or a related field.Knowledge Army C4ISR tactical systems, integration challenges and network modernization goalsArmy signal experienceActive TS/SCIThis requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s):SecretThis requisition requires the hired candidate to have or obtain, within one year from the date of hire, the following clearance(s):Top Secret/SCIWork Location Type:HybridMITRE is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
