Job Title: Engineering TechnicianJob Code: 17032Job Location: Londonderry, NHJob Schedule: 1st Shift- 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday offJob Description:Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including evaluating, troubleshooting, performing rework, and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.Essential Functions:Understand all operations WI’s (assembly, test, & rework)Review all suspected failures per QC WI-8608Perform training and provide clarifications to P/F criteria.Unit related issues evaluated per WI criteria & specificationsReview station issues and escalate to TPM techEscalate potential part non conformances to Quality & SQEDisposition/Data Correct systems that don’t need to enter the Quality Clinic (IE. Needs troubleshooting, non-standard rework, or unknown condition).Move failures to QC (removes responsibility from group leaders), rework cells, or dispositioned operation.Identify failure trends and improvements and submit PIM tickets.Process improvement identificationFixtures creation or refurbishment identificationParticipate in a variety of meetings, committees and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve issues and maintains specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements and policiesAll other duties as assignedQualifications:Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.Preferred Additional Skills:Highly skilled and experience senior support individual contributor able to work under limited supervision with initiative autonomously.Basic Station Troubleshooting KnowledgeKnowledge and some experience identifying process, fixture, WI improvementsAbility to locate & read drawings and specificationsEffective in managing time to support all work cells in production lineAssignments are moderately difficult requiring some judgment.Acts as a mentor to lower-level peers and provides guidance on tasks.Ability to engage with the operators/techs and effectively communicate/train.May be a resource to other employees in areas of expertise.Makes recommendations for process improvements.Ability to engage with ME, QE, SQE and effectively communicate findings, improvement opportunities.Ability to engage with production leadership to identify and correct training gapsAbility to identify and reduce waste (8 Wastes)L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
