Job Role: Java Architect

Location: Pittsburgh, PA / Dallas, TX




The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading a technology team, hands on development, enhancing, modifying and/or maintaining applications.
  • Work closely with business partners in defining requirements and ensuring acceptance criteria is met for application changes.
  • Spearhead architecture review of dependencies of components.
  • Coordinated the Agile/Scrum stories and sprints for the component moves.
  • Need to take the lead role in identifying, selecting and aligning the services of the group with supporting tools, frameworks, processes, policies and standards that assist in the commoditization of the provision of solutions architecture and consulting services to various customers.
  • Own the primary responsibility of guiding technical and architectural direction of some of our key development programs/projects.
  • Create the data mappings between the Enterprise API layer and the backend service or persist layer.
  • Ability to partner with the multiple technology teams to implement the target architecture and migration to strategic platform.
  • Attention to detail is key and should mentor new team members.



You are:

  • 15+ years’ experience with Java with someone who can lead, architect and design new apps and work with us to modernize our tech stack.
  • Experience of designing and standing up brand new microservices based architecture, Java, open shift container platform, Kafka, knowledge of Pega workflows would be useful in general for the person to be successful in this role. Lead software architecture & design activities and make technical decisions for the development of software suite.
  • Develop highly scalable classifiers and tools leveraging machine learning, data regression, and rules-based models.
  • Might have experience in Cloud Foundry, Kafka, Microservices, MongoDB etc
  • Work closely with product teams to implement algorithms that power user and developer-facing products.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning data intensive applications
  • Strong coding, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Creative individual with a track record of working on and implementing innovative tech-based solutions.
  • Software development using agile methodology and processes.
