Job Summary: Produce and analyze various specialty gas mixtures Gas/Liquid
Produce/Fill complex liquid and gaseous specialty gas blends utilizing gravimetric, temperature, and dynamic blending methods.
Properly use Gas Chromatography to analyze and certify complex liquid and gas calibration standards.
(LP Blends, HP Blends, Piston Blends, Transfilling to other sizes)
- Must have working knowledge to competently prepare calculations to blend non-reactive and reactive components in a safe manner.
- Have experience with producing and analyzing 10-20+ component mixtures.
- Have knowledge of methods and skill set necessary for prepping and filling of reactive mixtures in liquid and gaseous phases.
- Knowledge of proper passivation process for cylinders used for reactive mixtures a plus.
- Utilize correct cylinders/valves for filling of various mixtures.
- Have working knowledge of stabilization of reactive components in liquid and gaseous blends.
- Prepare appropriate documents and labels supporting analysis results.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot gas chromatograms and other analytical equipment.
- Working knowledge of ASTM, GPA, UOP methods for testing.
- QC raw material for impurities.
- Strong software experience used in conjunction with Gas Chromatograms. ie DataApex Clarity a plus.
- Ability to interact directly with customers for custom applications and general customer service.
Experience in the handling of shipping domestically or international for gas cylinders, liquid samples, and chemicals. Familiarity on shipping regulations and (international) logistics companies.
Work in a team environment within a small business setting, focusing on quality products and customer service.
Past experience in Specialty Gas production and analysis in laboratory setting strongly preferred.
Strong mathematics base preferred.
Strong computer skills preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree Technical related (emphasis on chemistry and/or math) or equivalent industry experience preferred.
