As a Product Designer on our Platform Ecosystems team, you’ll be partnering with UXR, Product Managers, Engineers, and Data Scientists to craft intuitive and delightful experiences that provide more people with more ways to talk, hang, and have fun with friends.

You will combine deep user empathy with a balance of UX, UI, prototyping, and visual design skills to enable frictionless experiences for two critical audiences: App developers who need easy ways to bring fun activities, bots, and games to the platform, and users who need simple, intuitive ways to discover, and enjoy them with friends. What You'll Be Doing

• Gain a deep, system-wide understanding of our platform, users, and their requirements to develop streamlined, user-friendly journeys and wireframes.
• Collaborate closely within a cross-functional project team, including UXR, engineers, product managers, and data scientists to drive the user experience from ideation to product launch, with continuous enhancement post-launch.
• Combine your UX, UI, and prototyping skills to craft streamlined experiences for developers seeking to bring their apps (Activities, Games, Bots) to our platform, and create intuitive ways for users to find and enjoy them with friends.
• Produce comprehensive design documentation and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate with engineering and product partners.
• Effectively communicate the business, and user-centered rationale behind design choices in forums such as design reviews, project-team meetings, and leadership discussions.
• Report to the Design Director alongside a growing Engineering, Product, Analytics and Design (EPAD) organization.

What you should have

• Minimum of 2 years experience designing and shipping a web/app product for a variety of devices and platforms.
• Ownership mindset with a bias towards action, helping to drive projects and decisions forward.
• High craft bar and attention to detail in user experience, visual design, interaction design, and prototyping.
• Ability to communicate complex problems and experiences simply, and to know when a user journey, wireframe, deck, prototype, or design specification will be most effective in doing so.
• Experience working within a design system, and contributing back to it.
• Experience designing for mature products — against visions, and through incremental improvements.
• Proficiency in Figma, and with common prototyping tools to demonstrate features and flows.
• Experience and passion for improving developer experiences.
• Casual or committed gamer.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000 to $161,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity, or benefits.
