Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The annual salary for this role is $95,000 a year. This position offers a one-time $15,000 signing bonus.

Position Overview:

Are you passionate for innovation and disruptive technology? Our Engineering and Technology Development Program may be for you! This two-year rotational program consists of two unique 12-month assignments. This development program will provide you with the opportunity to design the world’s next intelligent power management solutions and bring them to life. Throughout the program, you will build your leadership aptitude and technical depth in critical and strategic focus areas.

The Engineering and Technology Development Program - Power Electronics track focuses on the development of power electronics technology platforms and common hardware building blocks to create innovative solutions. Rotations will either be supporting a specific business unit/product line or working with broader technologies across the enterprise. Our strategic teams in this area are working on cutting edge technologies including:

  • Wide Band Gap and MV Power Conversion
  • Solid State Circuit Protection
  • Transportation Electrification
  • Energy Intelligence

After completion of the program, your technical expertise combined with your newly acquired business acumen will get you ready to take on larger challenges within the Engineering & Technology function including technical or people leader opportunities.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering from an accredited institution with a graduation date before August 2025
  • Minimum of one internship/co-op experience or an equivalent of 3 months of Power Electronics work experience completed at the time of this application
  • Must be geographically flexible to relocate within the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or community
  • Two or more relevant internships or co-op experiences
  • Power Electronics industry experience including controls

Position Criteria:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively explain technical concepts
  • This role may include travel (up to 25%) within a local region as determined by the Engineering & Technology Assignment Manager
  • Transportation to and from the worksite and for incidental business travel is the responsibility of the intern; however, expenses for required and approved business travel (not including the worksite) will be reimbursed
  • Demonstrate geographic flexibility to relocate within the United States throughout the duration and completion of the Development Program to an Eaton facility including (but not limited to): Raleigh, NC; Pittsburgh, PA; Peachtree City, GA; Milwaukee, WI; Southfield, MI; or Torrance, CA.
