Description:

Seeking to hire a motivated and talented Senior Technology engineer to support and manage network connectivity services for WAN backbone, global data center interconnects, cloud infrastructure, SDWAN environment, offshore and onshore field offices, as well as inter-business exchange connections in Equinix co-location facilities that provide access to applications and public cloud services in AWS, GCP & Azure. Successful applicant will design, configure, install, test, troubleshoot and maintain the network components leveraging code-based management to support connectivity for 30,000+ employees and business partners with focus on transition to cloud.

Under general supervision, demonstrates a thorough understanding of the activities performed related to engineering support, installation and/or operations of infrastructure technologies. Plans at an operational level designing and developing technology solutions interfacing with appropriate customers, management and technical resources. Facilitates and/or participates in the design, development, and implementation of large complex technology solutions supporting one or more business and/or technology areas. Develops and implements appropriate solutions that may involve multiple platforms, databases, software/hardware technologies and tools. Strong ability to multi-task in an environment of changing priorities.

Roles And Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for design, engineering, configuration, analysis, and troubleshooting of the company’s cloud and on-prem network infrastructure and services. This includes switches, routers, firewalls, SDWAN, WAN protocols, and dynamic routing.
  2. Responsible for the implementation of network solutions in any of the following environments to support business applications: Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), Global Wide Area Network, Core Data Center Network, Remote/Campus/Offshore Offices, Internet/DMZ, Business to Business connections.
  3. Ensure that industry best practices and methodologies are applied to design, deployment and operations of infrastructure technology.
  4. Develops tactics and operational plans in alignment with strategic objectives for assigned technologies and projects.
  5. Maintain detailed documentation of IT infrastructure.
  6. Drives the execution of departmental and corporate programs.
  7. Maintain quality and reliability of our network while developing innovative ways to automate.
  8. Ensure a high level of availability for network services, monitoring existing hardware/software, network performance and provide prompt response to issues.
  9. Build, leverage, and maintain alliances across technical and business communities to achieve efficient and effective results.
  10. Collaborate with customer and peers to proactively identify potential issues and areas of improvement in existing network environment.
  11. Provide third level of support with troubleshooting issues affecting our network.
  12. Contribute to research, evaluation and recommendations of new technologies or redesign of existing solutions.
  13. Gaining industry experience and exposure to seed new ideas with respect to the company’s best interests.
  14. Present findings, updates and recommendations to all levels of management, up to and including C level executives.

Must Qualification:

  1. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or its equivalent in work experience, required.
  2. Three years of experience in Technology required.
  3. Five years of experience in Technology preferred.
  4. Experience providing technical direction to project teams preferred.
  5. Working knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as Network, Database, Server, Storage etc. preferred.
  6. Advanced knowledge and experience designing and supporting the following Telecommunications technologies (MPLS, internet, Optical Networks, ISPs, CDNs, Managed Services, SLAs) required.
  7. WAN, LAN, Routing, BGP, OSPF, IPv6, QoS, Traffic Profiling, Anomaly Detection required.
  8. Native cloud services in AWS and/or GCP/Azure required.
  9. Automation coding required (Terraform, Python and Ansible).
  10. Cisco Networking (Nexus 5K/7K/9K & ASR / ISR routers), Check Point firewalls & SDWAN technologies required.
  11. Network management and performance analysis tools (BroadCom Performance Center, Appneta, Wireshark) required.
  12. Emerging technology support (SDN, SDWAN, VxLAN, NFV).
  13. Exceptional interpersonal and technical communication skills, as well as a strong work ethic.
  14. Working knowledge of capabilities and technology directions to support projects that will meet business needs.
  15. Demonstrated ability to interpret technology and market trends as a foundation for technology and product roadmaps.
  16. Ability to design and implement solutions to meet business needs that reflect a clear understanding of the objectives, practices and procedures of the corporation, department and business area.
  17. Able to multitask and operate under tight timelines and remain focused under pressure (ex. critical outage/disaster).
  18. Emphasis on customer focus, collaboration and follow-up skills.
