Print / Fashion Designer
Washington, Tyne and Wear, NE37 2SH
- Part time, flexible up to 25 hours per week
- Maternity cover (Approx. 8 months)
- £26,000 -£28,000 per annum depending on experience

The Role
We re looking for a creative and detail-oriented Print/Fashion Designer to join us on a maternity cover contract. Working closely with our design team, you ll develop innovative prints, patterns, and detailed design concepts that resonate with today s trends and exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct trend research and create inspiring mood boards.
- Design and develop clothing concepts with a focus on placement prints and all-over pattern design.
- Produce detailed tech packs to ensure accurate costing and sampling for factories.
- Develop precise size charts and maintain workbooks in Excel.
- Collaborate with factories on design adjustments as needed.
- Liaise with clients to understand their vision and provide constructive feedback.
- Organise and maintain artwork files within our SharePoint system.
- Manage multiple design projects to meet tight deadlines and quality standards.

The Ideal Candidate:
You re an adaptable, confident designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can bring any design brief to life with flair and precision.
- Degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or related field.
- Advanced skills in all-over print design and placement prints.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Strong graphic design skills with a commercially viable aesthetic.
- Knowledge of garment construction and size chart creation.
- Proficient in Excel for developing and managing size charts.
